ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Former KTEN news anchor Randy Garsee has passed away.  

His family says he died peacefully in his home in Alexandria, Virginia.  

Garsee was a main news anchor and managing editor here at KTEN from 2006 to 2008.  

After he left KTEN Garsee did some reporting for the military in the middle east, wrote a couple of books, and worked as a communications and public affairs advisor.  

Randy Garsee was 50.
