GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- Firefighters respond to a rural area near Whitesboro to put out a grass fire that scorched several acres.

It happened around 12 p.m. in the 2800 block of Roland Road. Several fire departments were called to the grass fire which produced clouds of smoke that could be seen from miles away.

One neighbor watched as firefighters arrived and the smoke turned from black to white. "It was blazing. You could see blaze from here pretty good," says neighbor Robert McCulley.

A man on the property did not want to talk to us about the fire, which burned several acres in a wooded area along the border of two different properties. There was no word of any injuries.
