CARTER COUNTY, OK-- A Carter county man  convicted of first degree rape is headed to prison.

Danny Reisman, 55, has been sentenced to 25 years behind bars for raping a former family member in December 2011.

Reisman was found guilty last month.

He claimed the act was consensual, but prosecutors said the victim is developmentally disabled and unable to consent. The victims mother said justice was served for her daughter.

"I'm just happy it's over, to be honest if it will just help a special needs child in the next 30 years, this was so worth it," said Denise Vance, mother of the victim.

District attorney Craig Ladd said Reisman will have to serve 85-percent of his 25 year sentence before he is eligible for parole.
