ARDMORE, OK-- In the Governors Highway Safety Association study that was recently released in Washington, teen driver deaths increased nationally in 2012 by19 percent amongst 16 to 17 year old drivers.
Teen driving trends in Oklahoma are on the positive side of the road report. The number of teen driver deaths have decreased across the state.
In 2011 nine teens were involved in deadly accidents and in 2012 seven teens were involved in fatalities.
Driving educators tell us that stricter driving laws and police enforcement could be the cause of Oklahoma teen drivers making improvements on the roadways.
