RAVIA, OK - Charges will not be filed in the shooting death of a Johnston County family's dog last month.

District Attorney, Craig Ladd and Assistant DA, Paulé Wise tell us after reviewing the completed investigation, there's no evidence to show that any person was in danger from the air gun that was discharged at the animal.

They also say there was no evidence to prove the man intended to kill the dog and it should be noted that the dog was not on a leash, therefore in violation of Ravia's leash law.

The dog was allegedly in the suspect's trash at the time of the incident.

Wise stated that "Even though it was an unfortunate incident, the evidence does not support the intent necessary to file criminal charges to sustain a conviction beyond a reasonable doubt."
