ARDMORE, OK--  Crews are working to get the fire that rekindled in Love County under control before another good wind blows through the county.

Emergency management crews tell us, as of Tuesday, more than 3000 acres have burned since Sunday near Gene-Vond road.

Firefighters say high winds were the cause of the fire spreading and they will be working to contain it.

Love County emergency manager Tracey Smithwick tells us no structures are threatened and crews are working to make sure Love County residents are not in danger.

Firefighters will remain on the scene throughout Tuesday night to do their best to try to get the fire out. Smithwick says fire crews want to get the fire out before high winds pick up on Wednesday.
