ARDMORE, OK--  After almost nine years of not passing a bond issue Ardmore City Schools is attempting to pass a very big bond this may.

The new bond is a $31,000,000.00 proposal to help support the district's future plans and growth.

If the bond is passed it will support the building of new classrooms and multi-purpose rooms at different campuses. The bond will also allow the district to renovate current buildings to enhance safety and equip the schools with tools necessary for students to compete academically.

The district is now hosting a number of information sessions to get community feedback on the proposed bond which registered voters in Ardmore can vote on May 14, 2013. The next session will be held on March 3, 2013 at Ardmore Public Library from 2pm- 4pm.

The district has more information about the proposed bond on their website at www.ardmoreschools.org and on the district's Facebook page.
