GARVIN COUNTY, OK - Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 21 year old Pauls Valley man is in critical condition after he laid on the tracks in front of an oncoming train in Garvin County.

It happened just before 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning on U.S. 377, two miles north of Pauls Valley.

Troopers say the man ran up to the tracks and laid down in front of the oncoming train.

We're told the engineer and conductor saw the man lay down on the tracks and they hit the emergency breaks, but they didn't have enough time to come to a full stop.

The man was flown to OU Medical Center in critical condition.

OHP says they're still investigating this incident, and charges could be filed against the man by the Garvin County Sheriff's Office.
