ARDMORE, OK--  Students at Ardmore High School had a chance take notes from a special guest speaker.

Judge David Lewis is the new presiding judge for the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals. Judge Lewis took time to return home to visit with students.

Lewis was recently appointed to the Court of Criminal Appeals in January as the first African American presiding judge.

The judge talked to students about his journey and encouraged them to dream big.

Judge Lewis was born in Ardmore and was part of the first graduating class of Ardmore High School.
