Accident in Bokchito kills one, injures six others

BOKCHITO, OK - OHP Troopers say alcohol was involved in a rollover accident that killed one kid and injured several other people on Sunday.

They say the driver of the car was speeding and may have been drunk.

It happened around 4 p.m.

Seven people were in a 97' Mercury Mountaineer heading west on County Rock Road Creek near Blue, when the car left the roadway, hit a fence, hit a tree and then rolled over.

None of the seven occupants were wearing seat belts, and all were ejected from the car.

We're told one of the passengers, 11 year old Joseph Miller from Durant, died on the scene from massive head injuries.

Troopers say the driver, 28 year old Clyde Rual, four other children, and one adult were all taken to the hospital.

Two of them had to be flown.

OHP says the accident is still under investigation.
