ARDMORE, OK--   The Ardmore Chamber of Commerce and XTO Energy Inc. signed an agreement to establish the Woodford Shale Road Repair Grant Program.

The purpose of the program is to provide road repair funds to Carter, Bryan, Johnston, Love, and Marshall Counties where XTO has oil and gas operations.

XTO has earmarked a one-time $2-million contribution to defray the cost of restoring certain county roads.

The Ardmore Chamber will administer the funds for the program. The chamber will establish an oversight committee to make recommendations to the chamber regarding necessary repairs in the five counties.
