Southeastern OSU Hires Three New Coaches

Posted: Updated:

DURANT, OK --- The Southeastern football program has added three new members to their coaching staff.

Head coach Ray Richards has hired Bo Atterberry as defensive coordinator, Scott Highsmith as quarterbacks coach and Mitch Moore will be taking over the wide receivers.

If you're familiar with Southeastern football then Atterberry's name might stick out to you. He played at SOSU in the late 90s and he was also the Storm's defensive coordinator from '04 to '07.

Coach Richards is excited to have a familiar face back on his staff.

"I coached him years ago when I was defensive coordinator in the 90s, so I've known Bo for 20 years. We both know...we've basically been running the same defense so a lot of our terminology is identical. So its not like I have to re teach somebody new, our defense  he already knows it," Coach Richards said.

"I'm really excited. Of course some things have changed but there's some familiar faces and its like home to me. Close to family and a lot of good friends here and in the area," Coach Atterberry said.
