ARDMORE, OK-- Police in Ardmore arrested a man after they say he broke into someone's home and assaulted them. 

52-year-old Darryl Newberry broke into a home in the 800 block of B street. The victim told officers that he was asleep when a man he saID he knew broke into his home, assaulted him and stole money from his wallet.

Several hours later police found and arrested Newberry. Newberry was found 8 blocks from the home.

No weapons were used in the attack and the victim suffered minor injuries.
