Super Bowl Snacks - L.A.'s Sweet And Spicy Meatballs

Good grief, when I told my husband I was going to cook on the morning show he rolled his eyes at me. (hahaha)  But, we did it without burning down the building.

Thanks to Director Darren's sausage cheese dip and production assistant (part time morning DJ) Adam's cookies -- we pulled off a Super Bowl snack segment on Good Morning Texoma!

Here's the recipe for L.A.'s Sweet and Spicy Meatballs

1 can (14 ounces) jellied cranberry sauce

1 bottle (12 ounces) chili sauce (I used Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce)

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 package (32 ounces) frozen fully cooked homestyle meatballs (thawed)

In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the first six ingredients. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Add meatballs. Cook for 20 -25 minutes or until heated through, stirring occasionally.

*** For buffalo style meatballs replace chili sauce with Louisiana Hot Sauce
