ARDMORE,OK--  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is putting more troopers on the road as part of a new program to make your drive safer.

The program is called the Crash Reduction Enforcement Operation.

Members of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are gearing up to hit the road in large numbers on I-35 in Garvin, Pontotoc, and Carter County.

OHP Captain Ronnie Hampton says drivers need to slow down, buckle up, or pay the price.

Hampton says they won't just be watching you from the roads, they'll have eyes in the sky as well.

Oklahoma drivers say they welcome the increased enforcement if it will help make roadways safer.
