CARTER COUNTY, OK-- Carter County District Attorney Craig Ladd, said Veronica jaramillo was charged with a felony assault. Ladd said she received a 10-year deferred sentence and will have to serve six months in jail.
She also received two-years of supervised probation, two-hundred hours of community service, and was ordered to pay more than six-thousand-dollars in restitution to the victim.
Last April, a fight broke out in front of a house in the 1200 block of Hailey Street in Ardmore.
Jaramillo was driving a car that ran over Shelby Miller, Who was pregnant at the time, and as a result her baby died.
Ladd also said Jaramillo gave an emotional apology to the family in court.
