Officials are investigating the death of 27-year-old Jeremy Kidlow who was found dead in a field off highway-53 and Butler road at about 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

"They seem like a nice family up there, you know they're boys so they ride their motorcycles and stuff like that loud and stuff down the neighborhood that's the only major problem we've ever had with them," neighbor Walter porter said.

Carter County Sheriff Ken Grace said the victims brother said he stabbed his brother in self defense.

"In order to defend his self he ended up stabbing him several times and wrote out a full statement," Grace said.

According to written statements, after being stabbed by his brother, kidlow ran out of the home and into a field where he collapsed. His body was found the next day.

"At this time, we are going to turn all of our information over to the district attorney's office and see what kind of charges, if any will be filed on him," Grace said.

A neighbor nearby who has lived in the neighborhood for 12-years Said he wasn't home at the time, but said he's sorry to hear about what happened.

"I was kind of surprised. I met the boy one time and I returned his bill fold to him. He seemed like a real nice boy and I'm just sorry to hear the family had that many problems," neighbor Walter Porter said.
