On January 24, 2013, Yumi Media commented on a Mother Nature Network article by Collin Dunn, regarding the reasons you should try and participate in a weekday vegetarian diet all week long.
According to the Mother Nature Network article, most people love the taste of meat, and asking them to give it up is no easy task at all. The article states that, “Over the last 50-odd years, the meat on our plate has gone from being the garnish to being the main feature.”
The article informs that meat production has also become a problem since it becomes more and more unsustainable over the years. According to the article, Meatless Monday is not enough, and going meat free during all weekdays is better off.
“Weekday vegetarianism has five times the impact, and that can be a big boost to your footprint-cutting endeavors. If you're serious about reducing your footprint, once a week won't get the job done,” stated the article. The article also mentions that meat is not needed to be healthy, and that many athletes follow a strict vegetarian diet.
Yumi Media knows how healthy and environmental friendly a vegetarian diet can be. “Going meatless on all weekdays and not just Monday will definitely have a greater impact on a persons healthy and he environment,” said Yumi Media representative Takara Licausi. “For those who love the taste of meat, Try Quorn meat substitutes that replicate the taste and texture of meat deliciously.”
