Grayson County, TX – Less than a week after a shooting at a local scrap yard, one of two suspects in the case has died.

Shannon Sides of Princeton, Texas died Monday morning from complications of a gunshot wound to the leg, according to Grayson County Sheriff's Office.

Lucien Hines, the owner of Stinky's Scrap Metal on East FM 1417, allegedly shot Sides after he and another men tried to steal from Hines' scrap yard last Tuesday.  Sides was shot in the leg and flown to Plano Medical Center, where he underwent several surgeries.

The second suspect got away. The Grayson County Sheriff's Office has issued a felony warrant for the other suspect, but is not releasing his name at this time. The case is expected to be presented to the Grayson County District Attorney's Office by the end of the month.
