SHERMAN, TX -- Police say two people who led them on a wild chase through town are now facing several charges.
Roy
Samples, 37, of Denison, and Lacey Adams, 30, of Snyder, Tex., are
facing charges after the chase that caused quite a scene near the
Grayson County Courthouse on Thursday afternoon.
"It then came around again and we heard all the sirens coming and then
it came up right here and stopped and they came with their guns drawn," says witness Mike Ballard.
A judge
set Samples' bond at $18,000 and Adams bond at $8,000. Both face drug
possession charges and Samples, the alleged driver, also faces evading
and aggravated assault charges.
During the chase, police say the
pickup crashed into a car with a driver inside, and a bag of what
appears to be methampethamine was thrown from the truck, police Sgt.
D.M. Hampton said.
