SHERMAN, TX--- Taking the TAPS bus just got a little easier. The public transit agency is now offering a new and convenient way to order tickets and passes.
Riders can now purchase fares and passes online with a credit card, checking account or PayPal account. Customers can pick up passes at the TAPS headquarters in Sherman or have them mailed straight to their home.
"Online you can buy tickets on a daily basis or on a monthly basis, whatever is easier for the rider. We're trying to keep our riders independent and make it easy for them," TAPS Mobility Manager Barbara Reeves said.
The online store made its debut yesterday and TAPS employees say it's already a big hit among riders.
"We get probably at least four to five calls a day from people when it's time to renew their dues subscription. They always ask if they can pay online," TAPS CEO Brad Underwood said.
