DENISON, TX -- The Denison Yellow Jackets have had a rough start to district play. Just a year ago the Jackets raced out to a 3-0 record, the opposite of where they sit now.
It's not time to hit the panic button yet as the meat of the schedule is still ahead, and head coach Joe Barnett is confident they can pick up the pieces and start racking up district wins.
"Except for Lovejoy, our other two losses are shot selection," he said. "We're not taking good, quality shots. We're shooting 34 percent from the field, and that's not going to win us many games. We've held our turnovers down to what we need to. We played pretty good defense especially at against Wylie. We had them down going into the fourth quarter and we just couldn't finish the game."
They will look to finish Tuesday's game against Greenville with a win. Tip off at 7:30 p.m.
