The CEO of Long Island based debt collection agency Rapid Recovery Solution offers comments following an article published by AnnArbor.com which discusses the prevalence of holiday debt.
Bohemia, NY (PRWEB) December 31, 2012
On December 31, collection agency Rapid Recovery Solution offers advice to those battling holiday debt following an article published by AnnArbor.com which highlights the subject.
According to the article, debt collection becomes ever more difficult during and following the holiday season. The article affirms that people already facing outstanding debts may add holiday shopping bills to that list. [AnnArbor.com states, “[Humans] prioritize their efforts first based on survival, then safety, then belonging, then esteem.”
The article cites Bob Barden and Thomas Oldani of the Ann Arbor Credit Bureau.
According to both Barden and Oldani, debt collectors are only attempting to help debtors to “manage their obligations”, despite the fact that many believe debt collectors are a “burden.” AnnArbor.com quotes Oldani who stated, “Make a budget and stick to it. Recognize that you can get yourself into real tough troubles when what you’re trying to do is get in the spirit of the season.”
John Monderine, the CEO of collection agency Rapid Recovery Solution, agrees with Oldani’s budgeting advice. “Making a budget and actually following it can really help people out with their bills during the holiday season. When we spend on gifts during the hustle and bustle of the season it’s easy to lose track on how much money is actually being spent. This can really hurt you in the end,” says Monderine. “When it comes to collection,” continues Monderine, “debtors are financially obligated to pay what they owe. It’s only fair.” Monderine advises, “If you keep track of what you spend and what you owe, you can avoid dealing with collection agencies.”
In the article, Oldani explains that the Credit Bureau is receiving more and more calls from consumers who are ready to repay their existing debts as the economy improves. According to the article, since the beginning of the recession, the collection rate has sunk to below 10 cents for every dollar of debt passed to collection agencies.
Founded in 2006, RRS Collection Agency is headquartered at the highest point of beautiful Long Island. Rapid Recovery Collection Agency is committed to recovering your funds. We believe that every debtor has the ability to pay if motivated correctly. We DO NOT alienate the debtors; we attempt to align with them and offer a number of ways to resolve not only your debt but also all their debts.
