Around 9am Christmas morning the transition over to snow looks to take place around the Ada area. The change-over line will gradually push southeast encompassing all of Texoma by the early afternoon hours.  Snow showers will continue to fall most of Christmas afternoon. Towards the evening hours snow will begin to end from west to east. Anywhere from a dusting to 5" of snow is likely across Texoma total.

A Winter Storm Advisories, Watches, and Warnings have been put in place all across Texoma of the approaching storm.

Conditions expected during the storm include strong north winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts around 40 mph possible will make for blowing snow conditions.  This will likely limit visibility conditions Christmas night especially.  Icy bridges and overpasses definitely will make for treacherous roadways.  Please make plans to avoid driving Christmas evening.

Strong winds Christmas night and the following Wednesday morning will make the temperature feel dangerously low outside.  Wind chill values will be between -5 degrees and 5 degrees! Hypothermia could result if not dressed appropriately while outside for long periods of time.
