Woman Airlifted After Denison Car Accident


DENISON, TX -- A car accident shut down the southbound lanes of Highway 75, leaving a woman with severe injuries that required transport by helicopter.

The accident happened around 1 p.m. at the Highway 69 exit, near the Texas Travel Information Center.

According to Denison assistant fire chief Bill Ray, a woman was pinned inside the car, and was taken by helicopter to Medical Center of Plano.

A man in the car was taken by ambulance to Texoma Medical Center. The highway was back open after about an hour. The helicopter landed in the median of the highway.
