Sherman Teens Donate Toys After Soccer Game

SHERMAN, TX -- Teenagers gathered toys to help brighten Christmas for others, and they dropped them off after their last game together.

The Ice and Lady All Stars teams are fierce rivals when they compete at Fairview Park as part of the Texoma Soccer Association, but on Saturday the girls gathered off the field to wrap up their season by spreading some Christmas cheer.

They dropped off a box of toys at the Crisis Center, a shelter that serves women trying to escape abusive relationships.

"These two teams they've been playing against each other for probably two years now, and they came together today to play together one last time," says assistant coach Regale Stickley. "The kids brought toys to give to these kids that don't have a very good Christmas."

The girls also toured the building on North Travis Street after their game. Along with their gift to the Crisis Center, they also put together a second box of toys to give to Toys for Tots.
