ARDMORE, OK-  Throughout the Oklahoma school districts superintendents and school leaders are taking in the scores from their report cards.

The Oklahoma State Board of Education recently released its very first A through F report card for each school and school district throughout Oklahoma.

In Oklahoma, schools are now graded on scales similar to students so that communities can see how scores at local schools are adding up.

" The school report card is actually an accountability system that the state department of education has put in place and we can relate to the school report card just like we can our own students report card that they come home" according to Plainview Intermediate principal Julie Altom.

More than 90- percent of schools across the state received an overall grade of C or higher, with nearly 50 percent receiving a B.
