Sherman Students Get Computer Visit From Olympians

SHERMAN, TX -- Some students got a special lesson when they talked to Olympians over the computer, after learning about them in class.

A fourth grade class has been discussing the careers two Olympic athletes and watching videos as part of a classroom program called Classroom Champions, according to teacher Andrea Wiggins.

On Wednesday, the students got to go on a virtual visit with the athletes using the video call service Skype. The ice dancers spoke to the local students from the University of Michigan.

"We asked questions and the questions that were good got picked and we talked about fair play," says student James Burnett.

The ice dancer duo won the silver in Vancouver and plans to compete again at the 2014 Winter Games in Russia.
