Davis Wolves second round preview

Posted: Updated:

DAVIS, OK -- The undefeated Davis Wolves in familiar playoff territory. This season has been nothing less than spetacular for head coach Jody Weber's squad.

They've been on cruise control since week one.

In fact, their closest game was week one against Ringling when they won by a modest 19 points.

Now they have to host a traditional Oklahoma power in Millwood, a talented squad that's only lost one game this season.

The Wolves meanwhile remain confident and poised they'll stay alive in the single elimination tournament.

"They're of course going to have some athletes. But I think if we go out there, play our best game on defense again, get our offense running, then we'll win," said senior offensive and defensive tackle Ryder McCaskill.

"By far the biggest game of the year. We've only played one good team, so it's going to be a good test for us. And we definitely need, our secondary needs some work and it'll be good work for us," senior safety and receiver Jordan Wilson added.

"Strange second round game to get two teams, we hope this quality if we keep up our end of the bargain it ought to be a really good game," said coach Weber.
