An opportunity is available for people to discard old unwanted items when Citizens Bank &

Trust and Ardmore Beautification Council host the 2012 America Recycles Day event, Thursday,

November 15. From 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. citizens can bring up to 3 boxes, per vehicle, of privacy

papers to be shredded and any item that plugs in can be recycled through an e-waste program

that will be available on site that day at 1100 N. Commerce. This service is free to people in

southern Oklahoma.

According to Nancy Sjulin, Citizens Bank representative, "We offer the e-waste and shred day so

everyone can get rid of things they no longer need or want. Many papers need to be shredded

after they have served their usefulness. All of us have bought items we prefer not to send to the

landfill once they quit working. The e-waste collection is an easy way to get rid of such things.

We have partnered with ABC for many years now and offer this event as a service to the

community."

Volunteers will be in place to assist participants in removing boxes, etc. from their vehicles.

Those with questions may call 580-223-2230 (ABC) or 580-226-4610 (Citizens Bank & Trust

Co.).
