On Tuesday, November 13, 2012, Ardmoreites are invited to "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" and attend the Festival of Lights Auction at the Ardmore Convention Center. This annual event benefits the Festival of Lights Christmas Drive-Thru at Regional Park. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the Silent Auction. Three sections of great items will close in stages with the final section closing at 6:45 p.m. The Live Auction begins at 7 p.m. Exciting items for the entire family and great Christmas ideas will be sold to the highest bidder.

The Silent Auction will include the chance to bid on a wide variety of items donated by local businesses including dinners, jewelry, toys from the 2012 Christmas top 20 list, bicycles, basketball tickets, pet boarding, cookbooks, golf, name brand sunglasses, a sewing machine, equipment rental, hotel room nights, dental services, art and much more! Some of the most popular toys include the 3 Story Barbie Dream House, FurReal Friends Baby Butterscotch Pony, Nerf-N-Strike Elite Rampage, Furby and Hot Wheels Terrain Twister.

The Live Auction features a grey yearling Welsh pony filly named JPH HAILEY BRAY. She is registered with the American Welsh Pony and Cob Society of America. She is sired by the imported Welsh Stallion DUNTAVIE TOUCHSTONE, a Champion show pony in both Wales and the United States. Hailey should mature to 13 hands high will be ready to start training this coming spring. She will be suitable as a child's mount or show pony.

Hailey was bred by Kim & Andy Johnson of Johnson Performance Horses LLC in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Their facility offers training, riding lessons and has horses and ponies available for sale. Andy Johnson, NRHA World Champion, specializes in reining and working cow horses. Kim Johnson offers riding lessons for all ages and skill levels. Her horses and riders have won National titles in the AQHA(American Quarter Horse Association) and Hunter/Jumper industries.

Other live auction items include a three-night stay for two at the prestigious Phillips Club in New York City, a stay at Great Wolf Lodge for a family of four in Grapevine, two sets of Thunder tickets with Oklahoma City hotel accommodations, Michelin tires, a stay at Lake Murray Bed & Berth Atrium for 16, diamond jewelry, Dwight Yoakum concert tickets, a fish dinner for 8 and the winner's choice of a non-invasive, body contouring alternative to liposuction called ILipo or a cosmetic treatment being offered in Hollywood and now offered in Ardmore at The New You called the Venus Freeze. The Venus Freeze tightens skin and reduces wrinkles and has been featured on The Doctors TV show.

The theme of this year's auction is "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas". This theme will be carried out throughout the event in decorations and food creating a festive atmosphere.

New to the auction this year, is the chance to win a 1/3 Carat Diamond! Sip a special Appletini or Cosmopolitan, and it may contain a special diamond in the ice! For $20, participants can enjoy a special drink yielding a cubic zirconium or a real diamond valued at $1,100. Only 50 drinks will be served.

Admission is free, however VIP tables can be reserved for $50. Sit with friends so you can "team up" to bid on your favorite item.

The Festival of Lights Auction is the primary fundraiser for new displays and maintenance of the over 125 displays available for viewing during the holiday season.
