Posted:

November is National Runaway Prevention Month and National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week is November 10-18. So the North Texas Youth Connection is teaming up with other local non profit groups to host one night of "homelessness" It's called "No Place To Go."

They're inviting members of the community to pledge to raise $115.44 to shelter one teen for one night. And to join them for a night of actually living as if you're homeless. It's an eye opening event for so many people who think homelessness isn't a problem in Texoma.... it is.

Did you know, there are more than 125,000 homeless children just in the state of Texas? The North Texas Youth Connection takes these kids in.

To participate or just donate to the "No Place To Go" event you can call 1-800-568-7776

The event is this Saturday November 10th at Forest Park in Denison. 6:30pm through 6am Sunday morning.
