Pontotoc County, OK - A two-year-old child drowned this afternoon in Pontotoc County, Oklahoma.  Sheriff John Christian says it happened in the Woodbrook Estates North East of Ada.  Sheriff Christian says the 2-year old boy was playing on the front porch of his neighbors house while his grandmother was washing dishes inside. When she went outside to check on him he was gone. The grandmother and a group of neighbors started a search for him.  Sheriff Christian says it's unclear exactly what time the child disappeared because neighbors helped look for him for about 30 minutes to an hour before they called the sheriff's office. Pontotoc county deputies found the toddler in a neighbors above-ground pool. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Sheriff Christian says their investigation is ongoing.
