DENSION, TX--- Things are about to get a little faster in Texoma. The Texas Department of Transportation has approved speeds on U.S. Highway 75 to increase to 75 miles per hour.

The speed limit increases were approved last May, but they will not go into effect until signs have been posted.

"It's better because we get to get places faster and we don't have to sit through traffic," Letroy Stephens said.

"Honestly it all depends on who you have driving on the road because you have some careless people out there," David Rutledge said.

Speed limits on Highway 121 from Bonham to the Collin County line may increase to 75 also. The road within Trenton City limits will not be included in the increase.
