MADILL, OK -- A Marshall County jury found Randolph Derebery guilty of two counts of lewd molestation of a child Monday.

"We are very pleased that the jury come back with a guilty verdict, I'm glad that the jury was able to see through it, find the truth and find justice for my girls," Leanne Shrout said.

The mother of two of Randolph Derebery's victims says now that she has heard the verdict, her family can take steps to move on with their lives.

"I believe it will help us move forward a lot, at least they have some found respect in the justice system that they will do their job," Shrout said.

Leanne Shrout thinks of her two daughters as heroes. After they came forward and told about being molested, so did three other girls.

"[I am] touched that they came forward and didn't have a problem with it to begin with, because of that, we know about the others." said Shrout.

She adds that she is no always thinking about the safety of her children.

"It is difficult to try to put total protection on your kids; you never know who it is. I would have never thought my landlord, my best friend's husband, would molest my children."

Randolph Derebery has not seen his last days in court. He must make two more appearances before the end of the year.

"He was convicted today on two counts of lewd molestation, the jury recommended five years on each count, he will come back for formal sentencing on the twelfth of December," Assistant District Attorney Heather Cooper said.
