MADILL, OK -- Coach Milton Cooper's Madill Wildcat squad is only one of a handful of undefeated Texoma teams.
They've reeled off five straight, but their last two were a little too close for comfort.
Last week Madill went from the Wildcats to 'Cardiac Cats' in a matter of seconds as they pulled off a two point win over Purcell.
Although the game wasn't pretty, they got the outcome they were looking for.
"It was real close. We're still a little banged up from the week before against Plainview. We knew we had to be physical against Purcell. It came down to the last drive for us. We knew we could do it. We just had to play as a team and we managed to sneak in a win," said senior quarterback Paten Bond.
"We didn't lead the whole game until the last seven seconds but you know that's all that counts. The very end and we pulled it out," said senior running back Luke Chapman.
The Madill Wildcats will play their homecoming game this Friday against Dickson.
