PONTOTOC COUNTY, OK-- Two men who escaped from the Pontotoc county jail, Tuesday night, are back in custody.

The sheriff's office says the inmates were arrested late Thursday afternoon, in Oklahoma City.

Pontotoc County Sheriff John Christian says they received a tip that the two men were on their way to Oklahoma City, Wednesday.

With the cooperation of several departments, including US Marshals, Christian says the two men were arrested in Oklahoma City, Thursday afternoon.

The search started Tuesday night, when the sheriff said mark David Matthews and Johnny Welborn Brown, Jr escaped with the help of a detention officer.

A woman was arrested shortly after the escape.

The sheriff says detention officer Jerrianna Kindrick admitted that she unlocked 5 security doors electronically, so the men could escape the facility.

Thursday evening, Christian said he and some of his deputies were on their way to pick up the two men from a jail in Oklahoma City.

He plans to have them back in the Pontotoc County Detention Center Thursday evening.
