ARDMORE, OK -- For band students, the last few weeks for summer are reserved for rehearsals to gear up for the fall marching band season. As the calendar flips closer to August, marching bands across Texoma turn parking lots into football fields to practice. MEAD, OK -- An over night vehicle fire destroyed a Mead woman's car. The woman had a rude awakening about 4:00 Wednesday morning when she found her car engulfed in flames.

"I grabbed my keys and walked outside to turn the alarm off and it was on fire," says Lane.

The alarm from Jennifer Lane's new dodge charger woke up. When she went outside to turn it off, it was fully engulfed in flames. She believes is wasn't an accident. She found a Molotov cocktail near the vehicle.

"As far as I know, I don't have any enemies. I don't know why or who," says Lane.

An investigator with the Bryan County Sheriff's Office says officers respond to this type of fires frequently.

"We have odd vehicle fires out here all the time in Bryan County," says Nathan Colloway, investigator.

But there may be more to this vehicle fire. The Oklahoma State Fire Marshal was on scene shifting through what could be evidence in an arson investigation.

"The State Fire Marshall is currently investigating this fire as suspicious," says Colloway.

Lane is still shaken up. She says she saw another car nearby at the time of the fire and now fears for her and her daughter's life.

"If it was my car this time, maybe it's the house, maybe we didn't wake up or it exploded," says Lane.

She hopes whomever is responsible is caught so she can once again feel safe in her home.

"If it does look like foul play was involved we'll do a criminal investigation," says Colloway.

If you have any information about this crime, you're asked to contact the Bryan County Sheriff's Office.
