Man on the Run after Robbing Sherman Bank


SHERMAN, TX-- A man is still on the run after robbing the American Bank off Texoma Parkway, next to Midway Mall.

Police say he walked into the bank around 1:30 Thursday afternoon and demanded an undisclosed amount of cash. Police won't say whether the man was armed or if he made threats to teller. They do say that no one inside the bank was hurt during the incident.

Authorities canvassed the area around the bank Thursday afternoon, but, never found him. So, they're asking for the public to help. Sergeant Bruce Dawsey of the Sherman police department say's, " The suspect is described as a white male around 5'5 to 5'7. Forty to fifty-five years of age with bushy brown hair. The suspect was wearing a white shirt with a green stripe, and a camouflage hat and sunglasses."

Police say the man was last seen walking south on Texoma Parkway, right after the robbery. If you have any information regarding this crime, you're asked to contact Sherman police.
