ARDMORE, OK -- United Way of South Central Oklahoma is having it's third annual blood drive Wednesday next door to the KTEN Ardmore Studio.
Donors receive a free health screening, t-shirt, tickets to the Oklahoma City Zoo, and pizza from Papa's Pizzeria. The drive will last from ten-thirty a.m. to four p.m. If donors choose, they can have the funds from their t-shirt instead go to the Children's Hospital Foundation. The United Way is hoping for another successful year like they have had in the past.
"We have, I believe, twenty-four currently that have committed to be here
at a specific time period. Last year and the year before, we were lucky
that when a few folks got through eating lunch at Papa's pizza they
just came over and donated as well," said Tobi Irvin, executive director of the United Way of South Central Oklahoma.
