Gainesville man dies in Gordonville accident

GORDONVILLE, TX - Four helicopters were called to the scene of a gruesome accident at 377 and 901 in Gordonville late Friday night. Our crews were on scene as highway 377 was shut down for several hours.

The driver of one of the vehicles, a Gainesville man, died on the scene.

Four others were rushed to hospitals, including a child who was taken to Cook Children's Hospital in Dallas.

We're told the child was released early Sunday morning.

It happened around 11 p.m. Friday night.

Officials say 31 year old Kendall Tepfer was driving a truck pulling a trailer carrying oil field parts, heading north on 377 when an SUV driven by 20 year Daniel Lashley of Gainesville, ran a stop sign and pulled out in front of him from 901.

Officials say, Lashley died on the scene.

2 people were flown to Parkland hospital, and Tepfer was taken to Wilson N. Jones by ambulance.

We're told the survivors were in critical condition and there is still no update on their conditions.
