Tom Crespo is both KTEN's news director and co-anchor of the station's 5, 6 and 10 weeknight newscasts.

Tom came to KTEN in the Spring of 2012 with almost 20 years experience in TV news including a 10 year stint as main anchor and reporter at KDAF-TV in Dallas. A native of New Orleans, Tom graduated with a degree in journalism from Louisiana State University. He began his career in broadcasting in Meridian, Mississippi, and later worked in Tallahassee, Florida, Augusta, Georgia, and Jacksonville, Florida, before moving on to Dallas.

During his career as a reporter and anchor, Tom has covered a wide range of stories, from hurricanes and wildfires in Florida, to the devastating tornado that ravaged Fort Worth in 2000, to the breakup of the space shuttle Columbia over North Texas in 2003. On 9/11 Tom anchored for 19 straight hours reporting on the terrorist attack in New York City and the response and reaction in North Texas. Awards that Tom has won include "Best News Anchor" by the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters.

Tom has lived in the North Texas area now for more than 14 years and has no plans to leave anytime soon.
He's married and has two sons.
