SHERMAN, TX -- The need to feed is growing in the Grayson County community and a ministry group is trying to help with a new food pantry.

Thanks to a $8,100 grant by Home Depot, Master Key Ministries on FM 1417 in Sherman is able to build the new structure.. It's a 20 x 20 garage, built with a mobile floor in case the building ever needs to move to another spot. Once it's open, the food pantry will be available to low income families in the Grayson County area that are eligible.

"Families are going to have to come and just fill out the paperwork. Pretty much a large portion of our community will be able to pass those requirements," says Julie Rickey, Director, Master Key Ministries.

The food pantry is expected to open in the summer, two times a week, but those days and times have not been set yet.

Donations are still needed to complete the interior of the building. If you would like to help please contact Master Key Ministries at (903) 870-6014.
