ARDMORE, OK -- There was a big signing day out at Plainview High School Wednesday.
Surrounded by his family and the entire Indian's track team, pole vaulter Tanner Callihan inked with the University of Oklahoma. Callihan is a big Sooner fan and said it's a dream come true to join OU's track team.
But as of last week, he wasn't sure if he would get the chance.
"Two days before signing with Oral Roberts, I decided that I was going to call OU just to tell them I wasn't going there," Callihan said. "As soon as I called OU, he told me he was going to call the head coach and see if they could increase my offer to go to OU and they did."
Callihan has already had an impressive senior season ranking as high as second in the state.
