DENISON,TX--In the first question of the trivia, we of course asked which President was born in Denison? There were an array of answers from "George Bush", to "James Madison". Although, about half the students we asked got it right. The answer being, Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Next up was an easy one, " Who was the first President of the U.S.?" Of course, everyone got that right. No surprises there.
The next question was a little more difficult. "Who was the 16th president?" This question got mixed responses. A lot if " I don't know's" and off guesses like "James Madison" but eventually, over half got it right. It was Abraham Lincoln.
Last of all, the hardest one, stumping people left and right. "Who is the current Vice President under President Obama?"
This question inspired a lot of "ums", head scratching and guesses like " Dick Cheney" and "Hillary Clinton". Only two out of the ten people interviewed guessed it right. The answer is of course, Joe Biden.
To be fair, Presidents Day hasn't always been around. It was originally two separate holidays in February to celebrate Washington and Lincoln's birthday's, but was changed to the third Monday of the month in 1971 and called Presidents Day. The trivia was a fun little way to remind people of the low-key holiday.
