DENISON,TX--Grayson County College in Denison has been going by Grayson College for awhile now. They've changed their logo, but the official name hasn't changed.
Even the T-shirts and campus logo have the newly shortened name. If you ask any of the students they call it Grayson or Grayson College. So, the school is asking their board of trustees to make their legal name match.
"And so we're very open to whatever the Board of Trustees decides but we think that its appropriate that we ask them to consider that we just call it Grayson College instead of Grayson County College." Says Grayson County College President, Alan Scheibmeir.
The new name will be taken to the Board of Trustees Tuesday night and if it's approved it'll go to the state for approval as well. But for now, legal or not, the students and faculty think of it as Grayson or Grayson College.
