FRISCO, TX-- A Texas teen is now safe after being held captive for nearly 24 hours. 18-year-old Bethany Stroud dialed 911 after leaving her job at the Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco Friday night.
Saturday night, she was located in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Stroud was found 200 miles away in the parking lot of a Braum's Ice Cream store.
She told police she was taken at gunpoint from her workplace. She managed to escape and call authorities.
Officials are still looking for the kidnapper.
According to police, she was emotionally shaken, and had a small bruise on the left side of her cheek but is in overall good condition.
