TEXOMA -- The people of Texoma were saving lives today, by donating blood. The Heritage Park Surgery Center kicked off its new blood bank with a blood drive partnered with Texoma Regional Blood center. It happened today(Thursday) from 9AM to 5PM and was a tremendous success. Staff, volunteers, and even family of patients at the hospital, all donated to the drive. Each donor helps save up to three lives, and the blood banks always need more blood for patients.
If you couldn't make it today, no problem there. Texoma Regional has blood drives all over the region nearly every week. For a full list of their events you can visit: www.texomablood.org and view their calendar.
