DENISON, TX--It's a milestone that's worth 100 candles. What better way to celebrate one hundred years than with a slice of cake?
At the Denison Chamber on Woodard Street Sunday afternoon, visitors were able to look back in time through scrapbooks and other historical memorabilia.
The 100th commemorative issue of Visions Magazines was also released.
"We've had a lot of community members who've been long time members of the chambers and some who are new to the area," Shelle Cassell, Denison Chamber member. "It's really a significant milestone because we're an agency that has really pulled a lot of other entities together and worked together for our community and to sustain a 100 years is a pretty big milestone."
The party has only begun. Denison will have a birthday bash on April 20th and 21st. A sporting clay shoot and golf tournament are scheduled then.
