MARSHALL COUNTY, OK--A Tishomingo man lost his life in a vehicle accident late Saturday night. Oklahoma Troopers say it happened just north of Madill around 10:15 PM.

According to OHP, 40-year-old Jimmy Lloyd Sanderson was driving northbound on US 377 in Marshall County. That's when his Ford pickup left the roadway to the right and hit a bridge curb, then crossed the roadway to the left and struck several trees.

Sanderson was pinned for 15 minutes until he was freed by the Madill fire department. He was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to Watt's Funeral Home in Madill.

A 32-year-old male passenger was with him. He was pinned for more than half an hour until he was flown to Parkland Hospital in Dallas. The passenger is reportedly in critical condition.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
